I have a couple of rods in my chest from a surgery when I was younger, they have broken and my doctor told me not to lift until they are removed, because he's affraid they'll puncture my lung. Does'nt look like I ll have them removed for aleast a week probably closer to a couple weeks plus recovery time, this could shape up to be a month long hiatus. I really don't want to lose my progress :wtc: .

Better to lose a little progress and fight to get it back than to puncture a lung.

Eat enough to not lose any weight and eat enough protein.

No doubt about that, I am just at a really crucial point in my program and it is hard to think about months of deication and training going down the drain.

had tendon & cartilage damage diagnosed in my wrist 1/2yr ago, didn't wanna lose any progress so i decided to jus switch to higher reps rather than take a break from gym... now its 6 months on and my wrist is still aching every day, probly would of healed if i had rested it from the start. so looks like im gonna have to take that break 6months on anyway, so yeh... keep it all in perspective, i think ul have a better chance of fighting back ur gains when ur body is in good condition

Muscle memory...don't worry about "throwing everything down the drain" so much.
