because MOST anime is surprisingly low budget, so there are always a lot of dead frames with only dialogue over it, i get bored so easily. I need someone there for social interaction so that its tolerable, or I have to watch like 3 minutes at a time.

However stuff like eureka 7 i can marathon watch, because it's always active and moving.

    I think i have ADD.

no its not the action, its the lack of animation

there are a lot of plot heavy animes that still just dont rely on dead frames and panning over dead frames instead of REAL animation.

:o well like you said, most anime is low budget. I don't think it's as big of an issue as you make it out to be.

why the hell does it matter if it's a still animation sequence? they're still talking. why don't you listen instead of needing only visual stimulation

I'm the exact opposite. I don't like watching it WHILE other people are around ... usually.

    best. graphic. ever.

there's a difference between dramatic pause, and simply sitting there with nothing going on for no reason whatsoever, drawing life out of the viewer to a point well past annoyance.

dramatic pause: any good oration of shakespeare.

the latter: playing a good deal of the last (most well-recognized) verse of the halleluja chorus while nothing happens on screen, blacking out the video, and finally--minutes later, hearing *squish*
