I'm currently around 173-174lbs at probably 15-16% bodyfat, i'm an ectomorph and unfortunately have a little gut as well, probably from being in a 3 year relationship that just ended :o

I'm using the BB routine in the sticky and using a modified form of that diet, which looks like this

    Meal 1
    3 scrambled eggs w/ a little milk
1.5 cup of milk w/ one scoop ON Whey protein
1 slice of whole wheat bread w/ 1tbsp of butter

    Train....
Post Workout-2 scoops ON Whey in 1.5 cup of Milk, Gatorade

    Meal 3
Can of Tuna w/ 2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 slice of whole wheat bread w/ 1tbsp of butter

    Meal 4
    4-5 oz Chicken Breast
1 cup of cooked white rice
    2tbsp peanut butter

    Meal 5
Can of Tuna w/ 2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 cup of cooked white rice

    Meal 6
    4-5 oz Chicken Breast
Big serving of Hungry Jack mashed potatoes
    1 tbsp peanut butter

Anyways....I can't seem to stomach some of these meals. Usually an hour after breakfast I start getting a stomach ache and then have to take these huge soft shits, I mean fuck...I just took one that was pure liquid. Is it too much dairy in the morning or something? Last night I ate a chicken breast, cup of rice, and then a slice of wheat bread loaded w/ PB....felt fine then started farting like crazy and then lit up the toilet

ditch the milk, ditch the bread, ditch the mashed potatoes. You are 15% bodyfat @ 170lbs. Don't modify a diet that works.

milk and dieting/cutting/leaning out don't belong in the same sentence. ditch the milk.

everyone is lactose intolerant, just to what degree is what you notice.

    eliminate all dairy.

This is the first thing I did when I started losing weight and I have felt better ever since.

Well when you consider that a cup of milk contains anywhere from 9g-11g sugar (depending on %) and your average shake has closer to two cups... you're basically saving yourself like a chocolate bars worth of sugar by just switching to water.

Milk gives me gas and bloats me up. So it's perfect when getting ready for a PL meet but not when I'm trying to get all jacked and tan.

if you want to get creative, add up the macros for purs diet and just be sure to match them. just don't sub complex carbs w/simple carbs. drop the milk.

    Not correct.

If we did not have the lactase enzyme available by the body, everybody would be shitting themselves, similar to those that ARE lactose intolerant. Not everybody is lactose intolerant. Some people, such as those like the OP above, can develop a deficiency to the lactase enzyme as they age, but this does not hold near true for everybody.

Milk is required for cookies and brownies... anything with chocolate really.

I used to make the shakes with milk during the first 2 years to add calories.

yea i shouldn't have used that phrasing. was just meaning that like 4cd said, dairy isn't a natural thing for us to be eating past infancy, and as such no one is really supposed to be eating it.

not technically lactose intolerant, you're right.

i think it's okay to have just 1 cup to 1.5 cup with your morning ON shake, help it digest a bit slower. i would suggest ditching the milk with your scrambled eggs as well as milk with your PWO shake. water will be much better for the shake after you workout.
