I have trouble putting on the pounds. I work out, but see no physical result. Whats with that?
eat more, cals in >cals out
No drugs, no worms, eat 3 meals and snacks.
not enough, 5-7 meals, 5-6k calories a day
If you are not gaining weight increase your calories by several hundred. If you still don't gain any weight after a couple of weeks increase your calories again.
Try to actually keep track of exactly what you eat and how much for a week. Use a tool like fitday.com to determine how many calories you are actually eating (don't just go by "it looks like a lot of food to me"). Then you can adjust from there.

I highly doubt he needs 6k calories a day, but I bet he'll aim for 6k and get 3-4k which would be enough.
your probably right. the 5-7 meals, do they have to be full meals or small portions?
reduced portions. never be full and never wait too long. by the time you hear your stomach, itd be too late. but yeah if your bulking, try 7 smaller meals a day.
