I went to the local store today to check out the 05 RRs (both 600 and 1000).... i sat down on a 600 and it felt like heaven... it had a very nice agressive stance but at the same time it was pretty comfortable (coming from an r6 and an f4i).... the only problem was that i was literally on my tippy toes. I can 90% flatfoot my f4i and i need to be able to flatfoot for personal assurance and my inseam is 30"... This really sucks!!!! I sat on a 05 R1 and it felt even lower than my f4i :o

i can't flat foot either, but doesn't bother me at all ... its the nature of the beast ... the higher up and forward you are, the better the handling is going to be ...

    im 5'9" - 30" inseam

i seem to be at that border height where you can flatfoot somebikes and you cant on others ... wish i was 5'10"

the only 2 times i have ever dropped a bike was at a complete stop and on a slippery surface... and my legs just werent long enough to stop the bike from going over that angle of no return. thats why i dont feel safe if i cant flatfoot a bike. it also sucks when i am trying to reverse

reversing, just get off the bike to move backwards ...

as far as the stopping thing ... i hear ya. That happened to me twice as well, but I learned to plan my stops and set my foot down. You shouldn't have to lean too far over to plant one foot flat ... just takes some practice and confidence

5'3" here... I couldn't flat foot my EX250, and can't flat foot my Harley.

Just one of those things you learn to deal with if you want to ride... Although for me it has limited my choice in bikes. Just about all the 600's are too tall for me, by about 3-4".

As long as you can tuck yourself behind the windscreen it doesn't matter. :p

    Lucky bastard :wiggle:

For girls they make the Daytona Lady Star boots, I've heard they can give you a decent boost in height and don't look like elevator shoes.

just because you can flat foot a bike doesn't mean it fits you.

If you have trouble reaching the ground, remove the vinyl from the seat and shave the foam down. With a heat gun, warm the vinyl and stretch it enough to remove any wrinkles and re staple it. You'll be able to gain an inch or so by doin this. I'd suggest not glueing the vinyl to the foam since it will need to be able to shift around when you do.

No, Rossi's fairly short (compared to normal size men, not me)... like 5'7" or something.

    Mladin is about 6'3" though.
