No matter what I try, my computer will not let me burn my music to a disc.
I don't understand, its never done this before. It goes all the way to the end, and right at the end, when its almost done, it says there's an error and can't finish.
Then on top of it, it pretty much junks that disc and I have to start all over again, only for it to be the same.

I'm trying to back all my stuff up so I can reformat, but I have a lot of music and refuse to reformat without my music saved... too much time and effort down the drain.

Try a different brand disc, try a different program, then replace your burner...in that order.

There are 2 programs on my computer that I am aware of, RecordNow and whatever the one is that came with my burner, which came with the computer.
Probably just a Microsoft program. Neither of them will burn my music, but I can burn other things like my personal folders with pictures and the like.

I'll try a new brand of CD first and see if that helps anything.

Try burning your discs from Windows Media Player.

Yeah. I just need to backup my music and videos, I've got everything else of importance backed up already.

if you're burning them the same as everything else(data cd's) then theres no reason i can think of why it shouldn't work :dunno:

Yeah me either. I don't get it. And I don't want to lose almost 1,000 songs. That's a lot of time and effort.

Yeah I actually considered that. Newegg has a 1TB external for $299.
Way more money than I'd want to spend just to fix this problem, but still a pretty decent deal.

1 TB is a bit overkill if this is all you're gonna use it for :o

    Hell yeah!

Yeah, it is. I was just joking. I don't have any need for that much.
