This is so
I don't know how to use it very well though
You can always ask
google 'better bounce card' or 'stofen'
i love my ringflash, sucks it weighs the camera down and i hurt my shoulder
Once you get hang of it, get a stofen.
And i suggest you to get a cheap bracket for the vertical shots since you are new.
It's just a steep learning curve, it's a 285HV so it's relatively complicated to use well (for me). I looked at the better bounce card and made one, and it seemed to make a pretty big difference. So far I'm loving it though
I remember how I was when I get my first external flash
anyone use the lumiquest diffuser?
sometimes on my xti after taking a picture it stays busy for like 10 seconds with the flash icon next to BUSY on the lcd.. would an external flash prevent that? sucks when im taking pictures of people getting awards and have to have them stand there waiting because it randomly decides to do that (im sure there is a reason, i just still suck).
regarding the stofen omni-bounce..
am i going to really have to get the real STOFEN omni-bounce,
or is a cheap knock off omni bounce going to suffice?
I just got the sto-fen... Isnt it cheap enought to not worry about knock-offs?
wait 'til you get the itch for studio lighting.
