I'm trying to uninstall some old sound drivers, but when I click "remove", it doesn't do anything. A window flashes for about .001 second, and thats it. It does the same thing with several other pieces of software on the list, but other software like aim or photoshop I can remove fine.

This is a bug in some software. When this happens most of the time you have to manually remove the registry entries, program files, and any startup items to completely remove it from the list.

    For future reference:

go to start > run> regedit and navigate to this key.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Each key under Uninstall represents a program that appears in Add/Remove Programs. To determine which program that each key represents, click the key, and then view the following values:

DisplayName - the value data for the DisplayName key is the name that is listed in Add/Remove Programs

    -and-

UninstallString - the value data for the UninstallString key is the program that is used to uninstall the program
After you identify the registry key that represents the program that is still in Add/Remove Programs, right-click the key, and then click Delete .

Add/Remove Pro I think is the name of the program that I use to use. I can't seem to find the disc I had with it on there, so I can't be sure who made it. Seems like it was SuperWin, or something like that.
