Yes, the locations are odd. And doesn't IL have VERY strict gun laws? Interesting how these bad things happen in the strictest places.

Let me guess, the shooter used a 10/22 assault rifle with a deadly 30 round magazine? I too am getting sick of all these shootings. If people MUST harm each other, why don't they just run folks over with cars or use baseball bats, and leave the guns out of it....

luckily the 12ga is fairly well-protected as a "sporting" and "hunting" firearm.

Well my 870 has greater than a 5+ capacity and it's still viewed as a "sporting/hunting" firearm. And semi-auto is very popular in sporting applications.

I agree pistol grip/collapsable stock are viewed as "tactical".

I am just so frustrated that these anti-gun people can't acknowledge that a firearm is just a tool -- the tool isn't bad... But if the man behind the tool is, then...... Fight the man -- not the tool.

No worries for me then. My 870 has a 2+1 capacity so I suppose the antis will give me the thumbs up...

yea, it's funny... anti's see school shootings where maybe 30 people die and they think the solution is the ban guns??? No. Let students carry, and maybe ony 2-3 people die. Granted that's still horrible, but it's the lesser of two evils.

I'll say like I did the other day,

Being in college has been the most dangerous thing I've ever done.

I want to be able to carry on campus god damnit.

Not really, outside of chicago and its county there isn't much thats too bad. You have to have an id card issued by the state police to buy/have, and there's a 3 day wait on handgun purchases, 1 day on long gun (you're madder with a handgun than with a shotgun). There is no concealed carry and obviously the college was a gun free zone.
