Got two of these bad boys, this one and a lower grade canonet 28. I need to get the seals replaced in the film compartment and get a new battery but I want to try and shoot some stuff with this! Does anyone know where one could get seals replaced???

You can replace the seals yourself.
I have one of these too, as well as a QL19.

There are quite a few guides on how to do it online.

    Woot Canonet Crew.
I love the fact you can get this close and people still don't hear the shutter.

lol just bought a QL17 GIII on ebay right now for $75. everything looks to be in good condition except the bottom film compartment seal. How do you fix this yourself?

also got some replacement 1.35v batteries from here: http://www.vintagebatteries.com/ $21 for 4, shipped free

    I'm excited!

The batteries I have in mine are slightly off....thought it doesn't matter unless you're going to be using the "A" mode....If I do I just have to compensate by setting my ASA to be about 1 stop faster than the film I'm using.

got my ql17 today. and as a bonus my light seal kit came in as well. I kind of overpaid but the thing is in mint condition.

I'm kind of :noes: about using full manual. Setting aperture with out any input from the light meter. time to memorize the sunny 16 rule
