I had an old flash bracket from the mid 70's sitting around so I made it into a light stick. I had everything else already except for the splitter on the PW. I picked that up for $5 + shipping from flashzebra.

Then I went out and bought another Sunpack 383 and I'm bidding on yet another one on ebay. The idea is that I can have my assistant walk around with the light stick and I'll still have two more pocket wizards I can use for the other two strobes if I want to set them up on light stands.

is there anything i should know about using an older flash on my 20d? the guy i bought it from said he didnt want to use it on his camera because of the voltage or something. but that doesn't really make sense to me since it uses it's own batteries.

Using an older flash on your 20D can fry the hot shoe on your camera. Don't do it.
