I am debating a .22mag as my next gun. I already have a 10/22, so if I get another .22 rimfire rifle, it's gonna be a mag. Here's my question.....aside from the Ruger 10/22mag and the Remington 597, are there any other affordable semi-auto .22mag rifles to be had w/o giving up a testicle? Again, i'm looking for a semi-auto .22mag, not a bolt action. not asking which is better, just if there are any others besides the two mentioned above. and yes, i've searched gunsamerica, gunbroker and gallery of guns. thank you in advance.

edit- just discovered the Marlin 922m, any others i'm missing. brand names are not important, functionality, quality and accuracy are more important to me than the name stamped on the receiver.

so far the top runners are the ruger 10/22mag and the marlin 922m. i've heard bad things about the Remington, but may change my mind w/further research.

i have a .22mag and ammo's not that bad, especially if you're using it for hunting. 6 bucks for 50 rounds aint bad.

yeah the 10/22s seem really pricey, I thought about getting one and converting it to 17HMR before I realized it wasnt all its cracked up to be.

get the 10/22 mag and do the barrel/bolt swap, two guns in one. you get .22mag and .17hmr

true, although 17HMR is faster its also more expensive, carries less residual energy, and wont buck wind as well as a .22 mag will. I thought about buying a .17HMR when they first game out but looking at it now its nothing that special.
