Shitty lens in the brightest part of the day ftl.
The tiger looks like it got caught by surprise
Exif Sub IFD
* Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/320 second = 0.00313 second
* Lens F-Number/F-Stop = 56/10 = F5.60
* ISO Speed Ratings = 400
* Original Date/Time = 2008:01:11 11:50:55
* Shutter Speed Value (APEX) = 8321928/1000000
Shutter Speed (Exposure Time) = 1/320.00 second
* Aperture Value (APEX) = 4970854/1000000
Aperture = F5.60
* Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
* Focal Length = 300/1 mm = 300.00 mm
Fill flash, I believe, is the only thing that could have saved that photo, and it was a good 25 feet away.
A lower ISO and a polarizer may help that
Lower iso and I drop below 1/300 and I get camera shake. I probably should have a polarizer though.
very pointy and shooty
Holy shit. Really? I had no idea.
it was a shit picture anyway. who cares
its in contrasty lighting and the face is properly exposed but isn't lit the way the background is. that a time of day/location problem. wasn't going to be a winner no matter what lens you used.
polarizer wouldn't help either
Post up the original without all the crap on it...I'm bored and want to photoshop some
if you have to shoot in those conditions, make sure to have the face lit, or backlit
Yeah, thanks. Shot is soft because of the lens, though.
This thread is really just a lament about missed shots and poor shooting conditions, thanks to everyone who took it seriously though.
Its all about the lighting though. Especially if there is glass or fencing in front. For wildlife I prefer overcast days
Nature and cars overcast helps
I'm pretty sure you can't PS blown highlights, but whatever.
So I've learned, I specifically waited for a sunny day.
mojito's tiger shots are amazing
you sayin he should have gone higher or lower?
If I spent more time on it I think I could do something with it. That was just a quick 5 minute messing around.
wayyyyyyy too yellow
I was giving it that hot sahara look I swear sometimes I don't know what I'm doing in photoshop It's always late after I take my sleeping medicine that I start doing this and playing guitar
