Those stupid things are absolutely everywhere. no i don't play in 1024x768 but my print screen button is obviously broken or something because it didn't work trying to capture at 1680x1050 fullscreen. I have all settings on high and all bars all the way to the right.

I installed the game, installed the shivering isles and knights of nine (on second disc, goty edition)

    Installed these addons:
    Horse Armor Pack
    Mehrunes Razor
    Orrery
    Spell Tomes
    Thieves Den
    Vile Lair
    Wizard's Tower
    Fighters Stronghold

Then I installed OOO and the 1.33 update. I didn't make it but a few steps outside of the sewer before I installed OOO so I deleted my character and started a new one.

So it screwed up, at first it had a different thing where all those lighted coffins are saying "Wtf missing texture" or something.

So I uninstalled everything, reinstalled Oblivion + second disc, then just OOO alone. Then it gave me what we're looking at here. When I installed OOO I just told the extrator to extract to d:\games\oblivion\data. I figured that's the way it was supposed to be done, says so in the install directions.

What's going on here? I've spent like, 3 hours at least trying to get this to work and am starting to get to the point where I'll just uninstall the whole game and forget about it completely.

okay so I found wyre bash... there is no way in hell I'm reading that site or the wyrebash site's idea of a jokingly large document that could easily span several novels, so I'm gonna click around on stuff and see if I can fix it.

I run about 50 mods for oblivion. I have saved all the mods and what order to put them in. It took me a good 2 weeks to get everything just right. I refuse to add any more MODS simply because its a PITA

    Tell me about it.

I didn't know I needed to know COBOL, C++, Perl, PHP, XML and at least three courses in lesser rocket science to get this shit to work :squint:

Also, this stupid wrye bash thing is showing absolutely nothing in the installers tab. It shows the 14 addons I have under Mods, but I dunno what to do yet and the website just isn't that helpful... its just page after page after page of words and words and words... I just wanna know how to fix my game, not how to reprogram the binaries for it. sheesh.

ugh...i've clicked boxes and checked stuff and the only thing it's doing is pissing me off :squint:

i could spend another hour reinstalling the game again.. this wrye bash program seems completely worthless, and it installed like 10 different things or more

    trying OBMM now

i remember when I was trying to get my Oblivion game 100% PERFECT to my liking i kept running into this problem. then I realized I didn't install the first pack of OOO i was doing the updates only that were on TESnexus... there is a much LARGER file that needs to be downloaded from the authors main site that needed to be installed first then the updates. after I did that all was well again... took me like 10 times of installing Oblivion to figure this out... by the time I finally got it to work. I didnt feel like playing anymore.

Yeah, I got the 413mb 1.3 OOO and the 1.33 update.

I installed both of those right after installing
    Unofficial_Oblivion_Patch_v3_2_0_Installer_Version-5296.exe
    Unofficial_Official_Mods_Patch_v15_Installer_Version-9969.exe
    v1_4_0_Self-Installing_EXE_version-10739.exe

Apparently these things fix tons and tons of glitches and stuff, but you think they might be interfering with OOO?

I forget how I finally installed everything... Becuase I even have higher resolution texture maps, farther viewing, new UI and everything... it has been about 2 months since I installed it. what I ended up doing was installing everything one by one. and I had a 2nd installation without the current shit in it so I could figure out where shit failed.

I fianlyl found a systen and an order to how I had to install things for them to work...

I forget if you have to install the Unofficial things first or second... you just gotta keep trying... there are thousands of mods not all work together :-/ i mean one problem I ran into a while ago is everyones bodys were the right shade but their faces were bright fucking pink... i eventually gave up. but I cant play the game vanilla on a PC...

    found this

8- Does OOO work with the Unofficial Patch?

Yes, it works. Load OOO after the UOP. Some changes done by the UOP did not make it into this version of OOO but will be included progressively into upcoming updates. These missing changes are not critical--they will not break your game in any way.

that's retarded, but everything else is failing so I guess i'll try that.

the link on the oscuro's site says "1.31 1.32 and 1.33 here" but it's really just 1.3 download... yay I get to spend even more time signing up for more oblivion websites and downloading more stuff ....

got them... i'm going to try just installing 131, then 132rc5 (better work, can't find anything else. notice a lot of those links supplied don't have what's supposed to be there) then 133 without reinstalling oblivion, I really don't wanna sit through that install again.

If I want to read a novel, I'll go to the library, thank you :)

I read the installation part when I first downloaded the OOO.

Be glad im nice and read through the thing... (sucks being at work..)

1- What are the conflicts with the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, Beautiful People, Living Economy and Mighty Magick? Are they drastic? Or can they be changed with load order?
UOP needs to load before everything else, including OOO.
LE needs to load before OOO.
BP needs to load before OOO.
MM needs to load after OOO.

As long as you have this load order, you can safely ignore any conflict reports for them (as long as you're sure you want the changes introduced by MM.

    Basically

    Oblivion.esm
    Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp
    Everything Else.esp
    LE.esp
    OOO.esp

And then everything you want to load afterwards that doesnt change anything in OOO... like say the alternate start, or the home armory thing
