Close. I picked this up today to take to Italy. I decided I didn't want to take my "big" camera/lens. 14.7 megapixals. Shoots RAW. Hot shoe. Manual controls. Now all I have to do is learn how to use this complicated bit of machinery.

Thought about it but decided to go with the G model. I was going to get a G11 but after reading the reviews, I decided to stick with the 10.

Nice...I didn't have the heart to spend that much and settled for a super compact SD750 (credit card sized). I'd love one of the G9-11s or of course the S90.

Full manual control plus a hot shoe is what sold me. I just finished shooting some test shots. ISO 100-200 looks pretty good. ISO 800-1600 sucks balls. Way too noisy.

    EDIT:
Well, maybe I'm a bit jaded from using my 5DII but the noise is "not good" at 1600 on this little camera.

    Test shot at 1600

I guess different people have different noise tolerance levels. The shot looks fine to me.

^ read above...yes F2. f2 on the wide... when I go on vacation and use my P&S, I'm 80% on the wide side, and crop down later if needed. :coolugh:
