I bought a case and motherboard

    And I want to save money by installing it myself.....but I never have installed something of the sort.......Any tips? or should I just have it installed by a pro?

    I did my first one last April and it was very easy. Now im doing them for my friends and what not. If you still need to install the cpu onto the motherboard, make sure you use a Anti-Static Wrist Strap to make sure you dont mess up the CPU chip.

    Just read the manual(s) and everything should be ok.

    i cant believe what some shops charge for installing all that crap (memory, hard drives, etc.) u gotta be totally incompetent not know how to install them.

    I can believe it - most people just want the assurance that they can blame someone else if something goes wrong and have it fixed at no cost. Other people just don't have the time or desire.

    And then there are the people who really are too stupid to do it correctly.
