:uh:, they are alpine type-r 4x6's, last years model. only 4x6's fit in the front of a sunfire, so i had to buy them. but they sound like shit so im gonna try to go back to where i buy them and see if i can return them. then im gonna go to home depot and see if i can get some fibreglass to make my own kick panels. i dont feel like paying ~$250 for kickpanels on top of better speakers.

what are your opinions on boston acoustics 6 1/2"s?

metra makes an adapter that you can put 6 1/2"s in the doors, you just take out the 4x6's pods. boston acoustics is a great company, jusy costly. if you can get a good price, then go for it.
