Is it just me or wouldn't that add an obscene amount of weight to the front of the gun? I am guessing there is some sort of weight (i.e.: Seattle Slug) in the grip.

Well i would imagine the person shooting this gun would hold it above his head, tilted sideways, and pointed downward, so the weight just helps point the end of the gun down so that they might hit their target :o

It looks sort of like a Witness. The trigger guard is different on his, and so is the front end, but the rest looks similar.

    witness for comparison:

edit - here is a CZ 97, it looks the most like it from glancing at a few different places.

I am guessing the knife isn't the heavy part but rather the adapter to mount it to the gun. I mean look at how bulky it is...give me two hours in a machine shop and I could probably take off more than half the weight. Only reason I can see for the adapter to be so big is to keep everything "together" under fire and recoil.

The only good purpose that would serve would be for a battle against zombies.

You may have your wish. I have heard that CZ and Dan Wesson are looking at a merger. It would explain the other rumors that CZ is considering a 10mm and a 1911. Probably cheaper in the long run compared to R&D costs.

yep. I figure we shall be seeing a CZ1911 and or a 10mm CZ late this year now. (even if it means slapping a CZ name on a DW pistol)

2 great quality gunmakers together should make for some extremely top notch weapons.
