:( Was decline benching at 75% max and started failing. It was a bad workout day for me... I asked the guy next to me to help ou but he was spotting another guy. The bar started sinking and hit my face. I'm so glad these other guys helped me out. Damaged pride is worse than the physical damage.

Cliffs: Benched w/out spotter. Bar started sinking. Ownage. :(

I owned myself like that benching incline one day w/ no one else in the gym. Thats why I don't bench with the collars on anymore.

Maybe I should from now on. It was an incline bench so it's a little hard for me to get the dbs up.

    Agreed...

I know it happened to me when I started. Luckily someone was there to give me a hand. And I know ive helped more than a few people out when they had done the same, it happens.

DBs when you don't have a spot. I usually only use the bar with flat, db for incline, I don't even do decline.

yeah i'm scared on declines, On incline and flat there is at least some kind of way to get them to your stomach or get up unless it's really heavy weight , but on decline you can choke yourself out

The stoppers in the power rack at my gym are just the right height. I can touch my chest with an arch but if I'm going to fail I just flatten my back and it sits on the stoppers (still touches my chest, but 99% of hte weight is off of it).

Over the summer, I was in my basement doing 275 for reps. I was on my 7th one and thought I could do one more. I was wrong :o

Nobody was in the house and the stupid bar rolled up to my neck and I couldn't breathe. I was finally able to dump the weight to the side but it scared the balls out of me.

I had this happen with a spotter! My friend wasn't paying attention right when I needed a spot and the bar hit me in the head. I was pissed.

I actually failed out on a 225 squat the other day, went a little too low for myself and sat there for what seemed like forever in that same position trying to go back up, but then i just slowly sat it down on the rails and crawled out with the biggest look of failure. it didn't help that the guy next to me was squatting 405 a little below parallel.

I've gotten owned like that on decline bench, except I was lucky enough to keep it on my chest. A guy walking by noticed and lifted it off me. I almost got owned doing squats today too. I was trying to go really deep and nearly got stuck, but luckily managed to power my way up. My legs were shaking like crazy. Shit happens.
