    I dont know about depletion of vit C but heavy exercise definately increases free radicals. 1000mg of vit C wouldn't go amiss IMO.

    popping a gram after a workout takes very little energy. im just looking for corroboration

    Basically you have an anti-oxidant scavenger system in your body. When free radicals are created the system mops them up. However in some cases the scavenger system can become depleted and the radicals can cause damage.

    Lifting weights increases the amount of free radicals, so it would make sense to take 1g vit c after a workout.

    Lyle Mcd has posted some research about a few grams pre workout lowering cortisol levels.

    A 500mg capsule of Vit. C. PWO isn't going to make you huge and broly, or make up for a shitty ass day of training.
