    First big present for my wife: Canon 50mm f/1.4. My wife is thrilled. I will post pics later.

    Second big present for my wife: 18" string of pearls with matching bracelet & earrings.

    Third present for my wife: Silly t-shirt she wanted.

    I am teh big winnar. :bigthumb:

  9. There's nothing wrong with the 50mm f/1.4, not everyone can afford the f/1.2L...

    I've had 2 of them, and a 50 1.8. Both 1.4 copies were soft wide open, not to mention the awful barrel distortion. I might have to pick up a 1.2 :hsugh:

    I don't get the Korean zing though. :o She is Chinese.

    I have to measure the focus on the 1.4 though; seems to be front-focusing a little bit. Could be user error, however. I'll post samples in a few days for your review.
