I used to do a little HTML back in high school, but that seems obsolete now. Here is whaa I have going. I bought a domain stevie-dv.com from godaddy.com. I wanted to know how I can turn that into a website. What else do I need to do? I would like to have a site sort of like Yoskay.com

kind of. Unless you know of a better looking template for art?

I guess what I am asking is what else do I need besides the domain to get this up on the internet?

You have a domain... it points to where your website will be. You need an actual place where your website will be hosted... a web host. Shared web hosting can be found for anywhere between 5-15$/month... but you get what you pay for. As for what hosts are good, I can't say :hs:

So if I want to update my website it has to be through godaddy? I have hostgator hosting. I changed the domain host thing to hostgator on godaddy. wow I am getting a little confused.

    Ok

I basically want to use the template that hostgator has as my website. once I download this template, where do I put it?

I used use Hostgator and I believe some of their packages have preset templates as you mentioned, isn't it just a one click process?

Should open a new book and toss the old school book. Things change and progress over time.

    this.

Look into javascript scrollers to display your artwork. I'm sure once you get the layout of the site done, people here can help you out with the back end.

You could do this, or - if you design a template in photoshop, i can make it work for you. I suck ass at making designs, but i can code them like nobody's business :wiggle:
