Can we please drop it. It never was funny, and now every time anybody brings it up it's just like the annoying uncomfortable feeling when people keep laughing at a joke for way too long. I'm tired of having to sift through posts of LikeWoah backpeddling and "making fun of himself" with a "te~he" attitude.

Anyway. I can now scratch this picture off my list of cliche pictures to take in my lifetime.

Horizon is dead center, and your can't ask trees to be symmetrical just because you want them to be.

I don't think it really matters. I think the additional darkness on the left side balances the deep shadow caused by the sun on the right side of the picture anyway.

    I see....

I'm not talking about the trees... I'm talking about the focal point (the tracks).

The horizon is off by about .5* and the symetry is off considerably. You didnt take the picture from the center of the tracks as evident by the railroad ties and the fact that the tracks exit the frame at different levels. The vanishing point of the tracks is pretty centered, but the rest of the picture isnt.

Fine. I still think it looks fine. The lines you drew are off less than 2 degrees (I don't know why the horizon line is drawn the way you did (unless you're basing it on where the tracks leave the frame or something).

This was basically a picture of me farting around at the tracks. I would have had more time if my aunt hadn't rushed up with her grandson asking me to do a portrait of him on the tracks because "what he was wearing looked kinda like a train conductor's outfit".

I think that it's an optical illusion actually. I think maybe the center of your lens was off center in the middle of the tracks by about an inch or two which created some perspective problems (center of tracks vs. exit point for eac track) which makes the whole thing look a little lop sided to me. It also appears to me that your lens might have been pointed slightly to the left of center.

The horizon appears to be off for a few reasons to me. 1. the ties on the track are leaning (that could be a perspective issue though) and 2. where the tracks dissapear into the horizon it looks as though it is tilted too. It's not tilted by much, and for that matter it could just be a hill on one side, and flat on the other, but it looked tilted to me.

It also appears as though you were using a relatively wide angle lens, which would exagerate the perspective problems making them seem worse than they were.

That's all i was trying to say.

I actually think the picture looks good, i'm just being nit picky and i think it would look awesome if it were perfectly centered.
