I had my appendix removed this weekend, doctor said no heavy lifting for the next two weeks :sadwavey:. I was finally dead lifting 250lbs too! (I weight 170lbs and just started lifting again after ~1yr off)

I'm considering a few weeks myself to just give all my joints/muscles a good chance to recover.

I havent done a full squat with a bar on my back in two months and I set PR last night. Don't worry about a little time off, especially if its for health reasons. Rest up, relax, eat, and get healthy.

I've heard many times that 1 week off for every 8 weeks of lifting. but thats just what I heard, take it with a grain of salt. I have a feeling you should listen to your body befor eyou just start following general rules of thumb.
