I hate waiting for things, and sitting here waiting on other people to do their job is driving me crazy. I am waiting for my flight physical and conditional release to be completed, and then I have to take a Army PT test. Once I have all that paperwork I will put my packet in for the March board. That gives me at minimum 4 1/2 months of sitting and waiting. :hs: Damn military and their lengthy processes.

    Wait while sitting.

I have a class every month for the next couple of months which will keep me busy. I also will be working on my PT. If I am not accepted to flight school I am still going to attempt to crosstrain into Combat Control or Aerial Gunner next November.

Agreed I was thinking of switching over to army if I could get that job.

if it makes you feel any better, I'm in the process of waiting for 3c0x2 (programming) to show up on the class 150-day out list. Basically sounds like I'll be waiting til July or August to even finalize my retraining package.

and i'm basically the squadron gopher until then. :naughty:

I called an instructor over there. He said that there had been word about the large amount of students to prepare for. He had heard January. He also said he could neither confirm nor deny that. This normally could be interpreted as a big YES, however programmers are weird. They like to speak like that in normal conversation. You will too once you are through the tech school. You will see more nerds than a star trek convention. In fact if you go to a star trek convention (which you will, it is part of your training) all of the people there will be people you know from tech school. If you don't know them, just ask what base they are stationed at, they are programmers too. You will learn more about computers than you care to know. Your entire thinking process will change to emulate a computer. Basic math skills will improve. Social skills will decrease. The urge to have a LAN party instead of having sex with your girlfriend will take over. This does not mean you are gay, it just means you are detached from life as a programmer.
