....shove this fucking memory card up someones ass. :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk:

I made a thread before asking if anyone has had problems with their Ultra II 2.0GB card....and apparently the answer is no. Well, apparently mine kissed a shitty dick or something before leaving the warehouse. In the past week I have lost probably close to 100 shots that cannot be replaced because of this fucking card. I can't even shoot RAW now, the files are corrupted and I can't convert them to jpeg with any program. I went today to shoot some pics just in "large" size, and lost 1/4 of my pics.

    FWIW camera is a 30D.

Regardless, any and all shots shouldn't be corrupted, even if OOF.......correct? Some were underexposed, some overexposed, but most were correct. The only other thing that could possibly be wrong would a few being OOF, but I never had a problem converting RAW pics, even OOF.

I have formatted it several times, hoping it would fix it.

I can see thumbnails, they look fine. In Zoombrowser I can even click on the pics and see them fullsized, and they look fine.

I was just about to look at their site for info, thanks.

wasn't this a glitch with some cameras versions of firmware and some Sandisk cards? I seem to recall a big deal about this last year...

you guys do realize that there are bad cards everynow and then, right? in the past 4 years, we've encountered some that didn't work right out of the packaging and we've had some that have lasted over 10,000 actuations. We had one card that lasted 2.5 years and we estimated that it captured approximately 20,000 shots alone. We also had several cards that only captured 100 and died. they're not perfect, which is why most come with the lifetime warranty.

I contacted SanDisk via their tech support, and they of course want me to jump through hoops before sending my card in. Trying different ways of formatting the card (which I have previously done), even trying formatting on different computers, etc. :hsugh:

Know where I can look to find info on this?

I can see all of the "corrupted" pictures with Zoombrowser, but cannot convert the corrupted RAW files to jpeg, or open the corrupted jpeg files at all.

I had a Lexar 1gig card with a ton of actuations on it too, but this thread is about a SanDisk Ultra II card. :ugh:

Costco. Think I'll just take it back there, they'll take it back from me anyways.

Just a typical OT'er being a dick with a google link.......but I think most of us have been around long enough to know that already.

You do know what google is for, right? And given my previous post was that I didn't remember the details, did you really think I had all the info at my fingertips? Sandy vagina much?

you got it from costco? Then why bother contacting Sandisk? They aren't gonna help you recover the pictures... Costco will just take it back no questions asked.
