I'm looking for a 6.5 Creedmor lower, another 5.56/multi lower, and I'm not sure on the third.

    Current evil rifle inventory:
M4gery (aesthetically mismatched CMMG lower, DTI upper)
    Saiga 7.62
    WASR 2 (5.45)

The 6.5 Creedmor is going to be my long-range gas gun. I was eyeballing .308 for a long time, but this is the same cartridge family. Long range bolt gun will come later, but they're less likely to get obamabant.

Another 5.56/multi lower will be to build a higher quality AR-15. The last, not sure.

    Talk to meh. :)

You will need an AR-10 style/size lower for the 6.5

    This.

Who's doing the 6.5 build? There's a group of fairly respected shooters (Team Blaster) over on the 'Hide who have all switched to the Creedmore for the coming year, it will be interesting to see what the word is on it. I honestly don't know dick about that round.

Both of the lowers you listed are 5.56 class receivers. They will work with the standard 5.56/223 calibers, and their derivatives (6.8SPC/6.5G/50beowulf/etc).

The 6.5CM, 260, 7/08, 6x47, etc are all 308 based calibers. These will not work in a normal 5.56 class receiver like you were looking at. At the least, the rounds themselves will be much to long to fit inside the OAL of the 5.56 receiver/magazine. For these calibers, you need an AR10 or Eagle/DPMS equivalent. While the 308 class AR's look similar to a normal AR15, and will even share many peripheral parts, they are not the same rifle at all.

Generally speaking, everything for an 308class AR is more expensive. You generally don't see the vast amount of "deals" on parts that you do for AR15's.

In short? Creedmor is based on the .308 casing necked down to a 6.5 mm diameter, with an OAL a little short of a .308 round. They require an AR-10 / .308 lower. Grendel is based on the .223 casing made fatter, and has an OAL to fit standard lowers.

Yeah, I don't think it's done yet. Email is probably best.
