    O rly? I thought they were banned by name. Do they make bullet buttons or anything like that for these?

    don't remember the exact law, but you can't BB a shotgun IIRC.

    The conversions are expensive, the shotguns are about 500 bucks.


    Probably not a bad gun to buy since an AWB will call these weapons out specifically.

    Get them on Gunbroker.

    I wish we could get these in Canada as well, but because they are a AK variant they are prohib.

    Maybe I need to get there earlier, but It's been over a year since I've seen a Saiga-12 at a local gunshow. I think I saw all of one .410 Saiga shotgun last time.

    nope. Very little is actually banned by name, mostly ARs and AKs manufs. Most of the other stuff, the companies went out of business :rofl:

    An "assault weapon" means (b) a semiautomatic shotgun that has at least two of the following characteristics:

    (i) a folding or telescoping stock;
    (ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
    (iii) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of five rounds;
    (iv) an ability to accept a detachable magazine


    Those two clearly make it an assault weapon according to state law.
