Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 will be here today or tomorrow. :x:

I blame Mojito for this purchase because he has one in his bag.

    fucking love mine.

It was the tamron, or the cannon 24-70, after looking over review after review, the Tamron beat the 24-70 most of the time, and cost half.

i sold my kit lens and got one of these a while ago. its a great lens, and on full frame would be that much better.

I figure that it will probably spend more time on my 1.3 crop camera instead of my full frame 5D. I'll stick the 16-35 on the 5D. Then I can have two cameras on me covering everything from 16mm to about 80mm. I'll have the 70-200 with me as well. All lenses will be f/2.8. If I need the speed, I have my 50 f/1.4 and a 90mm macro for close ups.

It's all part of my master plan for ruling the world of wedding photography. Now all I need is a wedding to shoot. :x:

sounds like a good plan, ;) although your math skills are a little off. 75mm on a 1.3 crop is actually 97.5mm equivalent.

do you think starting at 28 is wide enough? :dunno:

I was thinking about going with this lens (for the nikon) but wasn't sure if that was going to be wide enough. I guess it doesn't matter since I have the Sigma 10-20 :o

That's so tempting compared to the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 (1600, yikes.) How does the Sigma 24-70 compare to the Tamron? The extra 4mm would be nice...

not sure on the nikon side, but on the canon side the tamron beats the sigma in nearly every comparison i've ever seen.
