Had it picked out, paper work filled out, scope picked out, slings, swivels, case, everything. Get up to the counter 2 minutes before they closed. My friend is  because he's the one that pressured me into it. Hand them my debit card with pride.

Everyone is standing around the counter, checking out when the lady hands me back my card and says loud and clear, "Sir, your card was declined."

I'm all :wtc: and :o and thinking :hsugh:, I know there's money in there.

Walk out without my gun, and only a pale full of embarrassment.

Finding out the hard way that my debit card has a $500/day spending limit. :squint:

I shall return on Tuesday to complete my mission. :x:

It's mainly to limit loss from fraud, but it is a royal pain in the ass if you have money and want to buy semi expensive stuff. The big hassle is that limit also applies to the entire weekend, because it only gets reset when the bank does processing and they don't do that sat/sun. Most banks can increase the limit if you request it.

Yeah, if you call right before a purchase they'll unblock the spending limit.

    Nice though. .223 or .308?

shame about the stocks on the 10fp. To the OP-If you can, upgrade it.

the 700 deserves the sackriding. The 10FP is also a great, solid, accurate platform. I had no preference between the two after research and handling them. Just happened to have the 10FP on the shelf when I went shopping.

I also think that if you are not going to go into full customizing, the Savage is a better deal cause off the shelf they seem to have as good to better accuracy and the Accutrigger absolutely blows the Remmy X-mark trigger out of the water. So unless you're going to do a trigger job, the Savage trigger is a ton better.

some say the savage is more accurate out of the box, but there are a lot more accessories for the Remington :dunno:

I wish I could get a Hogue stock for my 10FP. I really liked the 700 with a Hogue.

Bout the same, Savage may be just a bit cheaper.

    ~$550-600 for the Savage

    ~$550-700 for a 700 SPS
