went to visit my in-laws over easter weekend...father-in-law traded in his Z06 for a GT-R :wackit:

and it's his daily driver :bowrofl:

he's going to get the chip when it comes out which will take it to 600+ hp. pretty comfortable, and a lot better car (looking and build) than I thought just looking at pictures.

he liked the AWD option from the GTR, and being a daily driver, thought it was more comfortable to drive than another vette. he thought the vette was too easy for the back end to break loose :dunno:

straight line he says it's a little slower than the Z06, but it handles/brakes better. i certainly don't think it "needs" more HP, but i think he just likes having fast cars...he had a 911 turbo prior to the Z06.

saw one last week. couldn't make out the car [was at night] but saw the all too familiar LED tails as the sleek roofline sped away. I pitched a tent.

So it could have been an Altima?

I swear the body lines are identical every time until I compare them side by side.

    it's not a chip

there is a jack in the dash where you can plug in an external drive and reprogram the maps and yes it will add 70hp.

it is $1k and works really well

    :wavey:

I've never heard anyone say that the z06 is too tail happy in daily driving...so he either sucks at driving or he wanted to ditch the car because the car is too much for him and wanted to save face

Well at least he's got some taste and bought the best looking color. Should've kept the Vette and alternated dd duty.
