    Which is better - 3 sets of your 10RM, followed by a 40% reduction in weight repped to failure (4 sets total for that exercise)
    or
    "Pyramiding" the weights throughout the sets ie 12,10,8,6 then xF (5 sets total), gradually increasing the weight so you can only perform the designated amount of reps.

    its gonna depend a lot on your goals and the specific excersize.

    Goal > to put on as much muscle mass as I possibly can
