    while doing squats :wtc:

i dont think its that serious, but coming up from a light set of squats i exploded off the floor a lil too hard and landed and hyperextended the right knee a little. theres a minor sharp pain when i straighten out my leg, but everything else seems fine. is this something that rest will take care of? or is it something more serious than that?

NEVER "explode" to a full standing extension while doing squats. Keep your movements steady and consistant.. I am sure you learned that today though. Just take it easy stay away from doing legs or running for a week or so... Hopefully it will heal up nicely.

    Best of luck

see a sports doctor... you have no idea whether or not you did real damage. not worth risking the next 4-5 months of training because of something that seems simple

wouldnt happen to be in college would you?

even if you don't play a sport - try to find the a trainer when he isnt really busy. just tell him what happened and where it hurts, they can usually tell you what to do in a minute or two. knees arent something to'wait it out with'

    +1.

I forgot to add this. Main is absolutely right.. See a doctor. The knee is not something to fuck with, and even if you think it feels okay, 3 months from now this injury could lead to a much bigger one.

Check with a doctor to make sure no swelling or tearing occured. You can never be too safe.
