Huxley (Korean: 헉슬리) is a multiplayer first-person shooter computer game with persistent player characters published by Webzen Games Inc.. It is being developed for both Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360. Huxley initially was going to be cross platform, but according to statements made at the 2009 E3 Expo press conference that feature is currently excluded from development

In the near future, Nuclearites bombarded the world. Destructive earthquakes, massive tsunami and dramatic climate changes wreak havoc around the globe, isolating continents and driving the human race into chaos. Those who survive the destruction dream of tranquillity, but an eruption among the human race and the appearance of horrible mutants drives the world into further disorder. Racism and oppression cause rebellious uprisings and war that divide the landscape between two powers: Sapiens and Alternative. At the heart of the war emerges a powerful energy source called the Lunarites. The Lunarites were created by Huxley, a scientist and possible saviour.
Both factions seek glory and victory, fighting mercilessly for the Lunarites and their very existence.

Shit looks badass! i cant wait for this mmofps :noes:

The beta was terrible. It's no mmo like planetscape or wwii online. It's more like unreal tournament with lobbies and only 30 people or so per match. But it wasn't fun like Unreal.

:hs: I remember hearing about Huxley years ago.... I find games that spent too long in development phase end up being pretty shitty when they come out (eg: Too Human, Daikatana, this game)

It seems like a cool idea, I hope full release is somewhat good.

I always wanted a really good MMOFPS, like the depth of an Everquest but with actual twitch skills involved.

Too bad they aren't releasing PC and 360 with the ability to play together, they just know console players would get raped and start complaining.

it won't be a good mmofps, it's hardly an mmo.

more like an fps with a lobby that has character models

It's a shame at how bad it turned out, I had really high hopes for this.

Oh well, my money is still on Project Offset, whenever the fuck that comes out.

:werd: Do people still play it? I wish they had a fast-paced game like CoD with the mass-scale that Planetside had. Too bad it would require a 2^4891934813403948891352898 core processor
