Yeah I do this with some PSN games and iPhone apps

Hell, I do that with retail games sometimes too..ha

They're cheap enough that it doesnt really matter to me whether I get an hour or weeks or months of enjoyment out of a 10 dollar game. I've spent more than that grabbing a quick bite to eat...obviously if I play it for a while that's ideal, but if I dont get sucked into something and don't play it more than 1-2 times, it's not that much of an investment.

This pool game seems sweet, anyone get it yet?

I'd rather not waste money on something I know I'll regret buying later. If you like wasting money just to find gems amongst them, more power to you. There is always one of your type who does not understand how money works in every one of these threads.

They should include that 'Hustlin' song as the soundtrack.

    'Ev'ry day I'm hustlin', ev'ry day I'm hustlin..'

Spent more than $10 for a shot at the club on many occasions. :hsughno: There's no arguing which has greater value there.

Its not like I buy every game ever looking for a "gem" and just waste money on the entire store...I'm pretty picky about what I get, I check it out online first, if it interests me and it sounds like people are enjoying it, I may check it out. What I was saying is, if I get something that that ends up being disappointing - or I don't play it a ton - its not like it was a big investment where I'm going to dwell on the "loss" of $10. That's sad if spending $10 will eat you up down the road...especially over a fucking video game.

This doesnt even make any sense. Because YOU regret spending $10 in the future, and it won't bother me, that means that I don't understand how money "works"?

And for the record, I have bought 8 PSN games in over 2 years...the only one that I barely played and was a waste was Bionic Commando Rearmed....not once have I said "damn, I really wish I had that 9.99 back.

Shots are not meals. Apples to oranges, for both instances

It's all the same if it was an unnecessary meal, ie he wasn't starving and/or had food to eat at home but wanted to dine out. Whether you buy a game, unnecessary shot/meal, it's all coming from disposable income IMO.

You can't just throw in 'unnecessary' after the fact to make it make sense. 90% of the time the agument usually goes 'skip that burger you were going to get for lunch' so you can justify X. Its a marketing strategy crafted by companies who nickle and dime people to death, and adopted by DLC apologists.

When Fat Princess came out, I probably played the game for 20 hours in the first two days and never touched it again. That's still more hours than I put into most retail games, so it was still worth it to me.

Even if I get a couple hours of fun out of a game, it's worth it IMO. I can spend just as much money doing something else that involves a few hours of fun, I can't pop that into my PS3 and do it over again. :hsugh:

It's spelled "nickel." You clearly don't understand money.
