No I'm not affiliated with them in anyway. But, I'm curious if any of you here are using them, or similar services, and what do you think?

good easy way to monetize a site/blog if it has traffic and decent PR but also asking for problems now from google since they have taken such an aggressive stance with selling links. But if you have a site that has good PR (for now) and a good amount of traffic it's a great extra way to bring in some more cash.

If you are thinking for earning few bucks by using their service and adding few links to your site ( Advertising other sites ) then you may have to face Google for getting you out of their index also the sites you are linking out may be not be related to your niche which may also affect you sites creditability.

Better avoid such third party link trading campaign. Google had banned many siteowners who are into link trade so avoid such direct link trade.

what kind of site is it...what niche? What kind of traffic are you getting? There are tons of ways to monetize a site but the more you target it to your actual users the better conversions you will get.

I have them.. It's pretty nice little money for doing nothing. I have the beta test post version. Where people can bid on certain posts instead of just listing their blogs..

Yeah you can't toggle it.. It just depends on what the good topics that sell on TLA are.. If you have some good ones, then you could definitely be pulling in more. I got to write some more articles for my site to start getting more sites spidered.

It's kind of weird, because you have to have advertisers specifically buying ad space on your site. They also apraise the price to advertise on your site based on Alexa rating, pagerank, link backs, etc. I signed up for it yesterday and so far I have 1 advertiser. I'm not sure what's their TOS is like so I won't say the amount, but it's slightly better than Google Adsense on my site. I'm running both so we'll see.

So far so good last month. It's comparable to AdSense, at least on my website.

I think it's only against the TOS to use other advertisers and disguise them as google ads.

    Wasn't clear or wasn't informed?

    Directly from Adsense support...

"Thanks for your email. I apologize for the delay in replying. I understand
you'd like some clarification on our competing ads policy.

AdSense publishers may display third party advertisements on sites and
pages showing Google ads as long as the formatting or color scheme of
these ads is sufficiently different from the layout of the Google ads. In
other words, if you choose to place non-Google ads on the same site or
page as Google ads, it should always be clear to the user that the ads are
served by different advertising networks and that the non-Google ads have
no association with Google. If the formats are naturally similar, we'd ask
that you use different color schemes for the competing ads."

    Cliffs:
You can display competing ads as long as it doesn't look like Google's ads.

using text-link-ads can kill your PR and search rankings. If that doesn't matter then no worries but since part the main way they determine the price of your link spots is PR then it's pretty much destined to ruin your sales.

You're better off just trying to sell spots "manually" on forums like DP that way google may not notice the link sales and may not penalize you. Still taking a chance though if you don't no-follow

    A quick update...

Two months in and I'm still at PR4, Alexa ranking move up about 700k spots (yeah a huge jump). My TLA will be on par with Google Adsense this month.

i used text link ads for a short period on a very unsuccessful low traffic site, haha. but it still made more than adsense on it. i also used linkworth which i think is better for blogs
