I have been researching around and obviously there are conflicting reports about whats good, whats not etc. Basic premise of my HTPC will be to be a DVR, play DVD's, surf the net, do basic word processing etc.

This is what I have come up with a basic for the system, please feel free to critique.....

    Case: Antec fusion V2
    Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H
CPU: AMD LE-1600 (45w) Athalon 64 FX chip
    CPU Cooler: Zalman 8700
HDD: WD Caviar (green power) 500GB
    Ram: 2 x Kingston 1GB DDR2 800mhz
    DVD: generic Sony
    TV Tuner: Compro Videomate 750
    Software: Vista Home Premium
    Wirless: Asus WL-138gE

    Approx A$1000 :eek4:

The chip isn't my ideal first choice (4850e would be preferred) but not available very readily here.
Anything glaringly obvious I have overlooked?
Is Intel a better chipset to go with? Its gotta have HDMI either way.
