My uncle sent me an old Kenwood dB+ sub to use while Im waiting to buy my IDMax from LS  Anyways, once I get the Max I was thinking of making a HT sub using the Kenwood, are there anythings to consider when building the box like size, sealed/ported, tuning of the port. And... what do I do about an amp? Thanks for the input guys!

Im actually using a car sub right now to provide bass for my HT system. Its an old "Shaker" 10inch(IBthatsubisapieceofshit) in an extremely well built and sealed bandpass enclosure. I also have the port facing a panel thats bult into the bottom of my desk so it keeps the sub under pressure and causes the sound to spread out and exit from the back of my desk greatly increasing its effectivness. I tell you its a great sub not only for having great quality bass for movies but also for having ridiculously loud bass when listening to music. Anyway i know its know its not the best sub on the market but it does the job beautifully and it didnt break the bank either! :bigthumb:
