I want an inexpensive but GOOD setup for my dorm room.

Right now i am running Harman Kardon HK-20 bookshelves and a JBL e250p subwoofer.

My plan is to get the Fluance AV-HTB+
(http://fluance.com/fluanceavhtb.html) THey are $199 for the whole set.

They will be run with a Resonant Engineering SX 15" sub (2.8ohm final impendance) getting about 1600watts from a BKA1000-4 amp.

The receiver powering them will be a Panasonic HE-75 receiver (already got this piece) which quotes
100watts per channel. Is it going to put out near this amount? It seems pretty sturdy

Is there a better setup for about that amount of money than the fluance and do i definitely need a receiver upgrade for those or will i be fine?

running all 5 speakers your receiver will not push 100watts per channel. if you like the way the fluances sound then more power to you.. i'd recommend buying a good set of floors and then buying the rest when you have the money.
