im starting to buy my surround speakers finally. I have a Denon AVR-1605 reciever. I have no idea what brands are good, what are bad, and who to avoid completely. Im looking to spend about 600 bux for the pair.

I was thinking of getting something like the Klipsch RF15 tower speakers, or some infinity. I do not have any other speakers at this point so any help would be appreciated :)

Let your ears be the judge. The klipsch "sound" isn't for everyone but they are super effecient and your Denon would drive them with ease.

I really like Klipsch sound, even if the other people on here don't. Don't get a biased view that they suck in your head before you hear them.

try the MMG's they offer a 60-day in home trial. I have the mg12's and can't say enough about them. They may or may not be what you're looking for, but don't expect any slam from them, as they taper off at 50 hz. But beyond that, they're excellent.

I feel that the whole klipsch line besides the herritage series suck. They're just going mainstream because they have a name that they built from the herritage series. If you're looking for something decent, try Aurum Cantus, Swan, Dalhquist or Paradigm. If you're a DIY kinda guy, there's a lot of projects out there.

    Good luck mang

There's always Revel and Dynaudio. They make some nice speakers. I have a pair of Joseph Audio speakers that are wonderful, but they might be out of your price range.

dynaudios are really expensive.. you might be able to get some studio monitors but not floors for 600.
