Constantly amazed at how well the D3 works. Not many 'game' pictures. It was the opener for the season and its HS football (read: its running play after fumble after running play after fumble...)

Stayed until halftime and then laryngitis > Me. Had to pack it up and go home. Ill probably shoot again in a couple weeks and rent a 300. Shooting 70-200 on fool frame is teh suck for football.

Sorry. Im not a pedo. The paper likes pictures of halftime though...so I take them. I always feel like the parents are looking at me from the stands wondering who the guy is taking pictures of their daughter -.-

You couldve just used the crop mode, that's what I do when I shoot sports. It's not like you're blowing them up to poster size.

I like the shots. I wish I was going to be around in September. My old HS has a game televised on ESPN playing against Joe Montana's son's team along with Will Smith and Wayne Gretsky.

I imagine still having daylight helps take those shots. Does it get a lot more difficult when you rely on stadium lights?

    Oh shit are you serious???

My point is that instead of renting the 300, the 3 would be better in IQ and if you want a little extra stretch just crop in and compose your shot like that. Cleaner night shots FTW
