i suspect my GF might have HPV (for reasons i won't go into). i'm going to ask her tonight but..

should i care if she does? i've read the chances it can affect me are very small (genital warts, etc.). is it really THAT big of a deal for her/me? what would you do?

    thanks for any help

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but HPV has no symptoms in males, so you don't really need to worry about it personally. I'm also under the impression that like 2/3 of females have it already and its not that big of a deal.

Its your decision if you care or not, I personally dont. i dated a girl who knowingly had it, we just used condoms and never thought about it again.

Yeah, wrong. There are strains that cause men to have visually-obvious warts.

And yes, now a ridiculous amount of women have it which sucks, but men are carriers. So if he came to find out he has the wart strain or god forbid the cancerous strain he's passing that on most likely to every woman he sleeps with (w/o condom).

:werd: came in to post this.

The odds of you showing symptoms are much decreased compared to her, but you run the risk of infecting every woman you're with after her. yes, many women already have it, but its reasoning like this that perpetuates the problem.

The one good thing is warts in her = warts in you. So if she never has warts, you aren't likely to get any.

if you have more than a few partners and you're in you're 20's chances are you'll get it.

there's no huge reason to worry. however take proper precautions at least

hummmm.....that just doesn't sound very appealing, say if your girl has warts, and she ask you to lick her kitty! :noes:
