    The JVM? That's all?

    I thought it was standard. Yes.. Yes.. Microsoft tried to pull it out and replace it with their own version, which is weird.

    The JVM is all the client needs. I wouldn't expect them to include the SDK.

    AFAIK, the only computer makers that currently include the Java implementation of the VM are Apple and Sun. Microsoft includes their own still. Client side coders should be happy. Now, that many more people will have an updated version of the JVM by default. Sun made a good choice in avoiding MS and going straight to the computer makers.
