Seems like a lot of people are moving into new places, myself included

The room is bigger than my current one, so I can afford to make it more of a 'living space'. That, and my friends who've been living there for a few years already have 10 of everything so there's no need for a lot of my things in the common areas (sofas, tv, etc)

I didn't really get to see the room empty or measure it until today, so I didn't really have a grasp on what it could fit. Turns out I can't bring my current desk and have to downgrade to the smaller barebones one my roommate left me. And my sofa is waaay too big for the room too so I have to use an ugly orange-brownish loveseat that they have left over :hs:

Here's what I'm planning to do with the space that I got. What do you think? Suggestions?

entrance is the door on the bottom right that's not marked

windows are on the wall with the tv/dresser/bed is against. i'ts a long skinny-ish window that covers about 2/3s of the length of the wall

^ yeah that was the first place I thought about putting the tv (when you enter the room it looks like the natural spot for it), but I guess I was too blinded by needing space with the coffee table that I wrote it off.

The couch might be a little too close to the TV though.. I just didnt want it so that there was too little space between teh couch and tv with this setup. Maybe with no coffee table it might be doable..i'll check tonight when i go back and move some more things over

    thanks!

my ideal situation would be to be able to afford a nice small place in SF then when I'm ready sell it and buy a way nicer house somewhere else.

that being said. bbl. I'm gonna go hang out on the street corner now to peddle my ass for downpayment money :wtc:

only problem i see with the first picture/layout is that you can't lay in bed and watch tv...

can't really visualize how to rearrange furniture without actually seeing the room and furniture though
