An AR would cost at least $100 more first of all. That and the drums are at least $100 each. I'm not really ready to shell out the cash for an AR yet. $600 cash, f2f > $900+ AR

you dont have to pay 900 for a good AR

you can build a pretty good one for around 650-700

He's selling the ammo seperately. I don't want to waste his time or mine until I decide I'm really interested so I dunno how much he's selling the ammo for. If you buy it seperate it's $125 a case but he says he'd give a good deal if you buy it with the gun.

    Here are some pics

I'm thinking about offering $700 for the gun and both boxes of ammo. Worth it or no? It's a f2f sale with no paperwork.

He's also got a brand new krinkov kit for $500. How tough are those to put together and is that worthwhile? The receiver isn't in the pic but it comes with the kit.

I'de probably go for it, yeah put the black p grips on it if you do get it, Krink kit is same as any other ak kit as far as assembly, depending which reciever you'll have to drill it properly for attaching the trunnions and stuff, its a PITA compared to an AR build.

Chinese drums are much easier the whole back opens up and you place the bullets inside close it up and wind it up. I dunno why the chicom stuff gets such a bad rap, there ak's are supperior to any of the romanian stuff and alot of the euro parts kits guns. Some of the later MAK's were a bit shoddy but I'de still take a MAK over an SAR or a WASR w/o hesitating.

I'm not that worried about what the grips look like. I can pick up cheap black ones online np. I'm more worried about how they measure up to cheaper AKs. Sure I could pick up a WASR-10 for $300 but I'd still have to buy the drums.

With the black furniture that is supposed to be on it, that would be a pretty good looking rifle.

I don't have the tools for it. I didn't realize that it requires drilling and crap like that. I'm just going to stick with something preassembled. Even if I decide not to shell out the cash on this deal I can get a cheapo AK at the next Tanner for $300ish
