hows this diet?

    i've began trying to bulk, im doing a HIT program 3 days a week.

    Im trying to eat 5 meals a day. I usually eat a good 600 calorie breakfast and a 7-800 calorie lunch, mostly clean calories.

    I lift at night and usually eat 3 times after my work out. Right after, then like 2-3 hours later, then a gain 3 hours later before i goto sleep.

    3 meals each consisting of:
    a spoonful of natural peanut butter with all of the oil poured out (50-100 calories?)
    one yoplait yogurt (150 calories)
    a serving of cottage cheese (200 calories)
    bbq chicken breast, about a fist sized peice. (200-300 calories?)
    glass of chocolate milk and a glass of water

    is this good guys? im an ectomorph and have had trouble in the past gaining weight i just started this diet is it decent?

    ps. i am 6'3 and weigh 170

    Not enough cals, chicken isn't the best bulking food, and try to have some variety.

    so 4000 semi clean calories a day is not good enough? i find that hard to believe.

    Looks fine to me but yeah I'd rather have beef for the AA

    can anyone of you guys recommend a meal replacement shake or supplement? maybe something that would just take care of one meal a day or help me squeeze in one extra meal?

    it doesn't sound like it, if you're lifting hard and not gaining weight then your calories are not sufficient

    previously i wasn't gaining weight i've only been to the gym 4 times since the start, my goal is about 5 pounds a month, is that unrealistic?

    I gain about 10 lbs a month, so yes, it's easily possible

    it's ectomorph slang for being a pussy and not being able to eat enough? let me guess, you have a super high metabolism too

    but yes, i'm close to 6'5" and weighed a little under 178 at the beginning of this year. I'm close to 230 now. So you could consider me an ectomorph I suppose. Just eat big and do it consistently and you'll start seeing some results

    Looks good to me...make sure to try and get at least 200-250g protein in a day and just fill the rest up with good carbs and decent fats and you should be set. Five pounds a month is very easy, you are gaining like 1.2 pounds a week meaning that you only need to eat ~4200 calories over maintenence a week.

    no im not a pussy. i eat until i feel sick on many occasions and then eat some more. im not sure if i have a high metabolism but i lose weight very quickly so maybe.
