Stock Bushmaster A2, 16" bbl, 1/9", no flash hider and the polymer stock.
    ~1500 rounds through it.
4 30 round mags, 2 steel 2 polymer, and 1 factory 10 rounder. Hard case and a couple hundred rounds of mixed bag ammo. Everything from wolf to Nato stamped m955.
    It's an old preban gun.

    $800, good deal or not?

What's the big deal about them?

This is basically a completely bone stock A2. Stock grips, sights, stock etc...

I was unaware of the value of a preban lower (living in a free state etc etc huddla huddla) but if all things were equal I would rather purchase the BCM upper I linked and then get a complete lower of your choice and a BCM BCG or other BCG of high regard and make and call it good for ~900

I'd pass on it because Hbars suck. If you're referring to the twist thing, that's already been discussed.

  13. Nobody made an issue of any of the specifics in here. What's there to argue about in this thread?

lol i dont mind people pushing others to expand their reasoning for why they do/dont something, especially related to the AR platform; however it just seems like it was only me that people were pressuring for a while :hsd:

  17. I dunno. I still love you. I mean, the 1:9 thing, there are arguments for and against 1:9, but it's nowhere near as black-and-white as most people think. After the 1:9 discussion at least we're all on the same page now, and when we talk about barrel twists, we're all doing so from a position of understanding things. It was just you that posted the initial comment. The following discussion was informative and pleasant. Everyone benefited from it.

well, New York and Gov Pataki thought it would be a great idea to mirror the AWB in NY with no sunset clause. So while most everyone else enjoys their 30 round brand new mags we have to over pay for pre ban beat up mags.. If you buy a pre ban lower you can put what ever you want on it(i mean uppers) still need pre ban mags on a pre ban lower.
