Finally getting rid of the e46, have two friends with the rsx s and they love it.

They are in my price range, sexy interior, decent looks, haven't drive one but I've read it's pretty nice.

Anyways, how reliable are they? I'll probably be getting one at 60-80k miles. I've always done my own work on my cars so maintenance, slight issues etc will be no issue but if there's any major issues that are well known *cough*like a bmw*cough* then I don't want to even deal with it.

I know every car has issues, but in general, how's the RSX? :o

My 02 was crap... burned massive oil until they replaced the engine under warranty, transmission issues, and I wasn't really impressed with how the "leather" seats wore. The 2003-2004 models supposedly addressed these issues though.

My first car was a 04 RSX-S. It was nice, compact, good mileage, a nice zip to it, etc. Pretty good for a daily driver. Didn't have the synchro issues with 3rd that people claim. Cons: electrical problems. The power locks are fickle along with the windows. Replaced countless headlight bulbs, the car ate them up for breakfast.

I'd only buy the last year they were made (05, 06?) as I think they're nicer and fixed some of the fit/finish issues from before.
