Never swept him, he was standing on a dirt berm. Gun was pointed at the ground the whole time. :fawk:

A small tree about 4 inches in diameter (all we had were clay targets, which we couldnt attach to the tree), watch closely towards the end you can see it. Upon further inspection I was about 11/16 in terms of hit/shots. Tree looked pretty fucked up.

Edit: Oh and im not in a militia, I just wanted to practice moving and shooting from standing/prone/crouching.

How were your hits, more importantly?

Tuck in your wing, unless you're bringing some celery and ranch to the range.

Was your finger on the trigger in the end when you turned around and faced the camera?

 I would say that they were pretty tight. I mean there was a gnarl/lump in the tree that I was aiming at that was pretty chewed up. On and no celery and ranch please. :mamoru:

I taught myself to shoot, and have had a few experiences with LEOs, but I know im a little sloppy. I never blame the gun, it does what its supposed to do, it up to the shooter to make it hit its mark.

No, it was resting on the trigger gaurd before I ever put it on safe

The real point of 90 degree profiles is to use the body armor better but you still have a long ways to go!

Look online for mil videos and look for what they are going

A2 upper. Less versatile, but more stable for small optics in my opinion.

Was ruining a juvenile tree really necessary? Is it that hard to make a decent stand, on which you can ACCURATELY see your shots, rather than guess?

Also, if you're going to train for close in distances like that, ditch the scope and focus on irons. Similarly, add in a reload drill, or a malf drill, by having a friend put in a snap cap with your mag loads.

Geez, every fucking reply sounds like my dad when he's lecturing me about some stupid shit!

No it wasnt nessisary. We were farting around on my friends ranch in NC, and didnt have the time/supplies on hand to make a stand.
