I discovered this accidentally, but there is a spot in my company's intranet where if I highlight and copy certain text (the name of product1) and paste it into notepad, the name of product2 appears instead. I tried viewing the source of the page, and the name of product2 doesn't appear anywhere. How can I duplicating this, as I have a project idea in mind.

copy/paste as in highlight with the mouse, copy...then paste?

are you copying the text? or the "target"?

when you click the text does it bring you to product1 or product2?

    Yes.

    Just the text

It is just text. It is not a hyperlink.

I noticed if I paste it into Word, it displays product1 as it should, so it appears to be some kind of formatting magic or what have you.
